Funds4School Refunds and Returns Policy
Version 1.0 · Effective from 25 September 2026 · Review due September 2027
Every Funds4School product is made to order with your child’s own artwork, printed and finished by us in Newcastle. Because each item is one of a kind, it cannot be resold, so our policy is built around getting it right first time and putting it right quickly when it is not.
This policy explains what happens if something is wrong with an order, what you can and cannot return, and how refunds are paid. It applies to orders placed through the Parents Shop and to schools taking part in a Funds4School project.
- WHO WE ARE
Funds4School is a trading name of Bang On Print & Design Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 08123506. Registered office: Unit 6 Mandale Park, Lemington Road, Lemington, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE15 8BU.
Email: funds4school@bangonprint.co.uk · Telephone: 0191 466 1125
- YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Every product must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it is not, you are entitled to a remedy, and this policy explains how we provide it.
Products personalised with your child’s artwork and name are made to your specification. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 they are exempt from the usual 14 day right to cancel an online order. Section 4 explains the extra time we give you anyway.
- YOU SEE THE PRODUCT BEFORE YOU BUY
Before you order, the Parents Shop shows your child’s actual artwork on each product, together with their name and class as supplied by the school. Please check the preview carefully, including the spelling of your child’s name.
If anything on the preview is wrong, email us before you order and we will correct it. Once an order is placed, details that were visible on the preview and not raised with us are treated as approved.
- CHANGING OR CANCELLING AN ORDER
We do not start making your order until the Parents Shop closes for your child’s school. Until that date you may change or cancel your order by emailing us with your order number, and we will refund you in full.
Once the shop has closed, your order goes into production and cannot be changed or cancelled. The closing date is shown in the Parents Shop and on the postcard you received from school.
- IF SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH YOUR ORDER
If a product is faulty, damaged, printed incorrectly by us, or is not the item you ordered, we will put it right. You choose the remedy:
- a free reprint, delivered to school or to your home address at no charge; or
- a full refund of the price paid for that item.
Please email us as soon as you notice the problem, with your order number, your child’s artwork code and a clear photograph of the issue. We will normally reply within 2 working days. We do not usually need the item back. If we do, we will send you a prepaid returns label.
Please tell us as soon as you can. The sooner we know, the more likely a reprint can reach you before Christmas (see section 7). Reporting later does not reduce your legal rights.
- WHAT IS NOT A FAULT
Because every product is made from a child’s original drawing, some things are a natural part of the process rather than a defect. We cannot offer a reprint or refund for:
- colour variation between the original drawing, your screen and the finished product. Screens display light while print uses ink, and some art materials reproduce more strongly than others. You should expect a close, not exact, colour match;
- parts of a drawing outside the black keyline box on the art form, which are cropped away;
- drawings that use materials the art guidelines ask children to avoid, such as glitter, stuck on items, metallic pens, chalk, pastels, charcoal or graphite pencil, or drawings that have been photocopied, where detail may be lost or faint;
- names, classes or other details that were shown on the preview and not raised with us before ordering;
- choosing the wrong product, quantity or size. Please check the size guide before ordering clothing, as pyjamas and baby grows are printed to order and cannot be exchanged for a different size;
- a change of mind after the Parents Shop has closed;
- damage caused after delivery, through wear, washing contrary to the care instructions, or misuse.
- CHRISTMAS TIMING
Our products are Christmas gifts, so our last delivery to schools is Friday 18 December 2026.
Problems reported by Friday 11 December 2026 will be reprinted and delivered to school before the end of term wherever possible. For problems reported after that date, or where a reprint cannot reach school in time, you may choose a full refund, or a free reprint delivered to your home address in January.
If an order does not reach school by the published delivery date for that school because of an error on our part, you may choose a full refund or free delivery to your home address, whichever you prefer.
- DELIVERY TO SCHOOL, AND MISSING ITEMS
Parents Shop orders are delivered to school free of charge, packed by class, for the school to hand out. Each delivery includes a packing list.
The school organiser should check the delivery against the packing list within 2 working days of it arriving, and before handing anything out, and email us about any missing or damaged parcels or items. Anything missing or damaged in transit will be replaced or refunded.
If an item has not reached you after the school has handed out its orders, please check with the school first, then contact us and we will help to trace it.
- HOW REFUNDS ARE PAID
Refunds are paid to the card or account used for the original order, through our payment provider, Stripe. We issue the refund within 5 working days of agreeing it. Your bank may take a further 5 to 10 working days to show it on your statement.
A refund covers the full price paid for the item. There are no delivery charges on Parents Shop orders, so there is nothing further to refund. We do not offer both a reprint and a refund for the same item.
The school’s fundraising commission is calculated on completed orders only. When an item is refunded, the commission on that item is not paid.
- IF WE CANNOT COMPLETE AN ORDER
If for any reason we are unable to make or deliver an order, for example if artwork is lost or damaged after it reaches us, we will tell you as soon as we know and refund the order in full.
If a delay is caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, courier failure or industrial action, we will keep you informed and do everything we reasonably can to deliver. Where an order cannot be delivered before Christmas as a result, you may choose a full refund or delivery to your home address in January.
- SCHOOLS AND ORGANISERS
Taking part in a Funds4School project is free. There is no charge to the school for the project pack, the art forms, the courier collection of artwork or the personalised postcards, and no obligation to continue once a project pack has been ordered.
A school may withdraw at any time by emailing us. If it withdraws after the Parents Shop has opened, every parent order for that school will be cancelled and refunded in full.
Artwork must reach us by the final cut off date, Friday 27 November 2026, to be produced before Christmas. Artwork arriving after that date cannot be produced for Christmas delivery, and no exceptions can be made.
Once art forms have been ordered, classes and pupil codes are locked. If changes are needed, the organiser should email us and we will unlock the account.
- CONTACT AND COMPLAINTS
For any question about an order, a refund or this policy, email funds4school@bangonprint.co.uk or call 0191 466 1125. Please include your order number and your child’s artwork code.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your request, ask for it to be passed to our Director, Simon Davidson, who will review it personally and reply within 10 working days.
